EVE for macOS
It closes to the Dock, not to nothing.
A real Mac app around the EVE you already use. It remembers where you put the window, it comes back when you click the icon, and a notification opens the thing it is about.

The first time you open it, macOS will stop you. Here is why, and what to click.
- EVE is not signed with an Apple certificate yet, so the first time you open it macOS says it cannot check it. That is Apple telling you EVE has not paid for a Developer ID, not macOS telling you something is wrong with the file.
- Drag EVE to Applications, then double-click it. macOS will refuse once — that is expected.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom, and click “Open Anyway” next to EVE. Confirm with your password or Touch ID. You only do this once.
- Right-click → Open does NOT work any more: Apple removed that shortcut in macOS 15 Sequoia. If a page anywhere tells you to do that, it is out of date.
- If you would rather check the file first: the SHA-256 above is the one on the server. Run “shasum -a 256” on the download and compare, or fetch evetribes.com/downloads/EVE_0.1.0_universal.dmg.sha256 and run “shasum -c” against it.
A Mac is where the plan gets made. That is the whole job this app has.
EVE is not a place to spend an evening. It is the thing that gets you out of the house and into a room with people whose names you do not know yet. Everything it does is measured against whether you actually turned up.
Which is the whole reason this app is quiet. It is not trying to hold you. It is trying to hand you the night and then close.
What it is
Three things, and then it stops.
A phone is for the room.
You have never needed EVE on a laptop to be at a party. You need it for the week before one — the plan, the argument about the date, the ticket you keep opening to check it is still there.
It is the same EVE.
Not a lite version, not a second account, not a browser tab wearing an icon. The same feed, the same tribe, the same tickets — on a bigger pane of glass, with a keyboard under it.
Then it gets out of the way.
It opens where you left it. On a Mac it closes to the Dock instead of quitting, so it is still there when you come back. A notification opens the thing it is about, and nothing else asks for you.
EVE Desktop is built for Tribe — going out, tickets, the people you go with. Hosting a night is still a phone job: the door scanner and the POS live in the mobile app. Run events?

EVE for Windows
It installs to your own user account, so it never asks for an administrator password.

Not ready to download yet — here is exactly why.
- The installer has not been built yet.
- EVE is built on a Mac and the Windows cross-compile toolchain is not installed here, so this one waits on a Windows build job.
What has to be true before a link appears here
- The bundle is built and opens on a machine that did not build it.
- The bytes are served from evetribes.com/downloads with the right content type.
- The size and SHA-256 in this file were read off that served file, not off a local build.
- Fetching the URL returns the installer and not an error page — a 200 serving an error page is still a 200.
